Will the Epson L6580 Work With Your Setup?

Can it connect to an office network? Yes. It supports Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct. It also works with PCL and PostScript 3 drivers common in managed office environments.

Does it print and scan on both sides automatically? Yes. Automatic duplex printing and a duplex ADF handle two-sided A4 documents.

Does it print A3? No. The L6580 handles A4 and smaller sizes. For A3 colour, consider the EcoTank Pro L15180 instead.

Do I need a phone line for fax? Yes. Fax needs an analogue telephone line. Without one, scan-to-email and scan-to-cloud cover most document-sending needs.

Can I print from a phone? Yes. iPhones and iPads print via Apple AirPrint. Android and iOS devices can also use the Epson Smart Panel or iPrint apps.

How long does the ink last? The included ink prints up to 4,500 black and 2,800 colour pages. Each replacement bottle then yields up to 7,500 black or 6,000 colour pages. Actual yields depend on page coverage.

How does it compare to a colour laser printer? A colour laser needs four toner cartridges and a drum, and draws more power. In contrast, the L6580 uses refillable ink bottles and about 19 W while copying. For mixed colour and mono office printing, running costs are usually lower.

Important Notes

• Page yields are Epson’s estimates based on ISO/IEC test patterns. Actual yields vary with coverage, paper and environment. Initial setup uses some ink to prime the print head.
• Use 112 pigment ink bottles. Units sold in Asian markets use the 008 series, so check the bottle code before refilling.
• Borderless printing is meant for occasional use. Frequent borderless printing fills the maintenance box sooner.
